Usage data: We track which articles you read (reading history) to power your reading history feature. This data is stored only for your account and is not shared.

Payment information: Payments are processed by Razorpay. We do not store your card, UPI, or banking credentials — these go directly to Razorpay's PCI-DSS compliant servers.

Newsletter: If you subscribe to our newsletter, we store your email address and (optionally) your name.

Comments: Comments you post are stored with your name and displayed publicly on articles.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide and maintain your account and subscription
To send newsletters you have subscribed to
To send transactional emails (password resets, subscription confirmations)
To show you your reading history
To improve our content based on anonymized usage analytics

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not display advertising.

3. Cookies & Sessions

We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. This cookie contains only a session ID — no personal data. It expires when you close your browser or sign out. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or analytics cookies.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on servers located in India. We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, hashed passwords (bcrypt), and prepared SQL statements to prevent injection attacks.

Correct inaccurate data via your Profile page
Request deletion of your account and all associated data
Unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time

Google Fonts: We load fonts from Google's CDN. Google may collect usage data per their privacy policy.

Unsplash: Default article images may be served from Unsplash's CDN.

7. Children's Privacy

Our service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of significant changes via email.
